1. Found – This Way by Design
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: I like how the pace of the song starts out strong, quick, and crisp. I think there may be a hint of Prince hiding in there somewhere. It is a toe tapping song that makes me want to move. It ends just as abruptly as it starts.
2. Casual – Me-O-Mi-O
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: Ah, this reminds me of MTV back in the 90s when it used to play music videos… Mr. Wendal by Arrested Development and the such.
3. Faded Paper Figures – North by North
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: Death Cab for Cutie plus this other song whose name escapes me!! ARG!The Cure’s Close to Me (thanks Chris!). The little synth pop noises reminded me of it. This song is basically a mix of a lot of music I like. I like that it’s somewhat fast paced and blends electronics and acoustic.
4. Miniature Tigers – The Wolf
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: The song is simple enough, acoustic and sounds similar to Weezer. I used to be more into this type of music and I’ve missed it.
5. Pomegranates – Corriander
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: This is the type of song you can turn up to make a wall of sound. It would feel like you are emersed and surrounded in the music.
6. Rubies – Stand in a Line
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
Why I like this song: This song starts out sounding similar to Wilco. I can really appreciate their smooth transition to disco funk and back again. Impressive.

taskfox prototype – a smipler ubiquity
Posted by Peter Owen | Filed under technology
So this is not a plugin which makes it easier to use immediately. Ubiquity requires a restart because it is a plugin. What I like about taskfox is that you can get through stuff faster and make more permanent the things you really want to read by dragging it away. Just watch the video.

the life & times of tim
Posted by Peter Owen | Filed under Humor, photo, Picture, video
Why I like this show: This show somewhat reminds me of Meet the Parents, but Tim’s girlfriend is somehow more tolerant. The situations that Tim gets into are just bizarre. This show pushes the line and I love it.

music monday – rjd2 – work it out
Posted by Peter Owen | Filed under music, music monday, video
Why I like this video: The choreography in this video is fantastic! Whoever came up with the concept of dancing with crutches and pulled it off like this deserves some sort of award. My favorite part of the video is when the guy freezes in a couple different positions like head first into the light post. The song also allows you to focus on the video and therefore they compliment each other beautifully.
